Pumpkins, spice and all things nice: Sedgley Court brings community together at autumn ‘Cuppa Joy Friday’
Guests enjoyed an array of seasonal delights, including pumpkin spiced lattes made from scratch with cream and flavoured syrups, a selection of cinnamon and ginger flavoured treats including iced buns, homemade ginger cake, and crepe styled pancakes that residents dressed with spices of their choice, all served in a friendly and uplifting atmosphere. The event proved to be a wonderful opportunity for the community to connect, share stories, and embrace the cosy spirit of the season.
The Cuppa Joy Friday event also consisted of an autumn brain teaser, anagrams and true or false questions based around the subject of autumn whilst guests enjoying their cuppa.
Relatives and friends of residents living at the home came to the cuppa joy event in the home’s tearoom as well as members of the local community. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time at the event and enjoyed the treats on offer at the home, with some even indulging in a second drink as they were so delicious.
The Sedgley Court team has been embracing the changing seasons with a variety of activities, ensuring residents enjoy meaningful experiences and cherished traditions. Events like this not only highlight the home’s commitment to creating special moments but also strengthen ties between residents and their wider community.
