Cashless treatment facility under Telangana’s flagship health scheme, Aarogyasri, will come to a halt from midnight on Tuesday in protest against the non-payment of dues to the private hospitals.

Despite repeated requests, the State Government failed to pay dues to the 323 network hospitals in the state, and the hospitals had no option but to halt the services, V Rakesh, President, Telangana Aarogyasri Network Hospitals Association, said in a statement.

It has been learnt that the Government is required to pay approximately ₹1,400 crore in dues to the network hospitals.
