“Timeless” Toni Storm has opened up about a creative issue she faced during her time in WWE. The current AEW Women’s World Champion stated in a new interview that a lack of clear direction for her character was a source of frustration for her on the main roster.Storm had a successful run in WWE’s developmental brands, winning the NXT UK Women’s Championship and the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament. However, her main roster career never reached the same heights. Speaking on the “Marking Out with MVP” podcast, she explained why.A Lack of DirectionToni Storm explained that she was never given a clear, defined character to portray on the main roster. She compared this with her current “Timeless” persona in AEW, which is a fully realized, old-Hollywood-inspired character.”In the WWE, I don’t think I was told what to do enough.
