Three teenage girls rushed to hospital with serious injuries after horror late-night Wicklow crash

Three teenage girls are being treated in hospital for serious injuries following a road traffic collision in Co Wicklow over the weekend, in which a car was overturned.
Gardai and emergency services responded following reports of a single-vehicle collision which occurred at Carrigroe, in Tinahely at approximately 11.30pm on Saturday evening.
It’s understood the vehicle collided with a ditch and overturned.
Three female passengers, all teenagers, suffered serious injuries in the collision and were removed from the scene and taken by ambulance to Tallaght University Hospital and St. Vincent’s University Hospital, where they remain in a serious condition.
The driver of the vehicle, a man aged in his late teens, along with three other passengers, were uninjured.
The road was closed overnight as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators carried out an examination of the scene, but it has since reopened to traffic.
Gardaà are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
A garda spokesperson said in a statement to the Irish Mirror: “Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 10:00pm and 11:45pm on Saturday 13th September 2025, are asked to make this footage available to investigating GardaÃ.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Baltinglass Garda Station on 059 648 2610, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
