Kroger launches new grocery program that will make life easier for customers

Customers can now get everything Kroger has to offer without going to a store.
The retailer, which has stores in 35 states, launched on DoorDash at the start of October. Nearly 2,700 Kroger stores will participate, giving customers nationwide access to fresh groceries in as little as an hour.
Kroger’s full grocery assortment, including fresh food, exclusive Our Brands products, and everyday essentials can be purchased through a few simple steps.
“Customers are looking for more convenient ways to shop at their local Kroger store, and delivery is an increasingly important way they engage with us. We want to provide customers what they want, how they want it, without asking them to compromise on value,” said Yael Cosset, Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer for Kroger.
“Today marks another step in our journey to simplify customers’ lives. We are bringing our high-quality, fresh, full grocery assortment to new customers. We are making it easier to shop in the way that best fits their day. And we are offering lower prices and more relevant offers to drive more traffic, which increases the data we use to power our retail media business.”
Kroger’s loyalty program discounts have also been integrated into the DoorDash app.
The companies will also collaborate on new delivery models that leverage Kroger’s store network and DoorDash’s technology to “help brands grow and engage customers in more relevant ways.”
DoorDash launched on-demand grocery delivery in 2020. Globally, it serves more than 42 million monthly active users.
