The Last Frontier Cast & Character Guide

Apple TV+’s new crime thriller, The Last Frontier, not only walks viewers through a compelling drama but also features a talented set of actors who brilliantly portray their respective characters.
Created by Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio, the new Apple TV+ action series begins with an engaging hook, where a plane carrying multiple fugitives crash-lands on the outskirts of Alaska. While the inmates in the plane are set free, a US Marshall tries to investigate the plane crash to be able to find the prisoners before things get out of hand.
The Last Frontier’s story setup is enough to compel many viewers and prompt them to stick around till its final episodes. However, the show also adds more depth to its thrilling story with well-written characters, who are perfectly embodied by its cast members.
Jason Clarke as Frank Remnick
Actor: Born in Winton, Queensland, Jason Clarke attended Ignatius Park College before deciding to study law in 1987. However, he soon changed his mind and went to pursue a career in acting by enrolling in the Sydney Actor’s Studio.
In the years that followed, he also studied at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne before graduating in 1994. During his early years as an actor, Clarke played roles in myriad Australian TV shows, like Wildside, Blue Heelers, All Saints, and Stingers, among others.
Some of his early years as an actor were also defined by movies like Death Race and The Human Contract. In the late 2000s and early 2010s, he became recognizable for his parts in Public Enemies, Zero Dark Thirty, Terminator Genisys, and Texas Killing Fields.
In recent years, the actor has garnered more attention for his prominent roles in movies, like Oppenheimer and Pet Sematary.

Character: Jason Clarke’s character in the original Apple TV+ show, Frank Remnick, is a US Marshall who is given the responsibility for a massive piece of land in the Alaskan wilderness. Not a lot seems to happen in the stretch he is responsible for.
However, things suddenly take an interesting turn when a prison transport plane crashes in the area, setting many dangerous inmates free.
Dominic Cooper as Havlock
Actor: Born in Greenwich, London, Dominic Cooper began his acting career with roles in several acclaimed plays, including The History Boys and productions by the Royal National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company.
His journey on the small screen was initially marked by shows like An Education and My Week with Marilyn. In the years that followed, he also established himself as an action star with parts in movies, like Need For Speed, Warcraft, and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
Over two decades into his journey as an actor, Cooper is most recognizable for his roles in Mamma Mia!, The Devil’s Double, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Preacher.

Character: In Apple TV+’s The Last Frontier, Dominic Cooper portrays Havlock, a former Navy SEAL turned fugitive. His character happens to be one of the many prisoners in the central plane that crashes in the Alaskan wilderness.
Putting his military experience to good use, Havlock thrives in his newfound setting, which makes it incredibly hard for law enforcement to hunt him down.
Haley Bennett as Sidney Scofield
Actor: Born in Fort Myers, Florida, Haley Bennett was raised in Naples. After later moving to Ohio with her father, Bennett kept moving around the state and often felt like a social outcast.
She discovered her knack for acting during her early years in school and convinced her mother to take her to Los Angeles at 18 to take acting more seriously. She initially gave herself only a three-month deadline to land her first part.
Fortunately, for her, just before she left Los Angeles, she got her first agent who signed her. She made her film debut in 2007 with a rom-com titled Music and Lyrics. In the years that followed, she expanded her portfolio with diverse movie and TV genres.
Almost two decades after her movie debut, Bennett is best known for playing Emma Cullen in The Magnificent Seven, Megan in The Girl on the Train, Cora Corman in Music and Lyrics, and Charlotte in The Devil All the Time.

Simone Kessell as Sarah Remnick
Actor: Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Kessell initially built her acting portfolio with roles in several Australian and New Zealand productions like Medivac, Water Rats, and Xena: Warrior Princess.

Her breakthrough came in 1977 with the Off-Broadway play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow is Enuf. Almost three years later, she earned an Oscar nomination for her part in Cross Creek.
On the small screen, some of her most notable works have been in Hill Street Blues, LA Law, Miss Evers’ Boys, and Luke Cage. Meanwhile, on the big screen, she is best known for her performances in Primal Fear, 12 Years a Slave, and Passion Fish, among others.
