Waitrose anti-ageing serum that smooths fine lines 'in days' down from £16 to £8

Beauty buffs looking for a fast-acting anti-ageing solution that won’t break the bank need not look further than their local Waitrose. It comes as the supermarket has slashes prices of a number of beauty products, including a serum that smooths wrinkles and fine lines ‘in days’. The L’Oreal Collagen Expert Serum usually costs £15.99 at Boots but at Waitrose the ‘smoothing’ and ‘tightening’ formula is half price at £8 – for a limited time only. Delivering optimum hydration as well as diminshing the signs of ageing, the Age Correcting Serum is enriched with Collagen Peptide Fractions, which helps boost skin’s firmness. Meanwhile, skincare hero humectant glycerin helps retain its moisture for up to 24 hours. This concoction is loved by skincare fans for making a difference to their skin in a matter of ‘days’, with one happy shopper leaving a five star review stating: “I’ve never used a product like this before so was excited to try it. I’m lucky to not have many wrinkles but definitely up for preventing any more. I was amazed with this product. After just a few days use I could see the difference in my skin. It looked a lot smoother and tighter.” Read more: ‘Comfortable and cosy’ Next suede boots praised for ‘amazing quality’ Read more: ‘We are older ladies and we love the teeth whitening powder’ from dentist-backed brand Another shopper echoed the joy at the results and said: “When I received this through the post I tried it straight away. I noticed after a few days my skin felt tighter and more fuller therefore less wrinkles. I have used this every day since I received this and I cannot complain. Well worth it and it does as it says and does not feel greasy either.” Other fans of the L’Oreal serum love the glow it gives them after use, with one person citing: “This product was truly amazing. It really smoothed out my fine lines and wrinkles. Also corrected a little bit of pigmentation I have on my skin. It left my skin very hydrated but non-greasy had an amazing glow after just one use.” With a 4.7 star rating, the serum has received only a few negative reviews, with their only gripe being that they’d not seem monumental results. One said: ” I have been using this for a few weeks and its good quality. I don’t really feel or see any benefits from using it, but maybe because I’m full blown menopausal. I will continuously use and am very hopeful.” Someone else shared: “Goes on nicely, not sticky absorbs fast. But I dont see any changes in my skin a month in.” Costing £8 on sale, it rivals the price of some other budget serums that have wielded some impressive wrinkle-busting results. For example, NIVEA Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Expert Dual Action Serum is on sale at Amazon for £8.99 (from £17.99) and smooths wrinkles and hydrates with its power-ingredients GLYCOSTOP and Q10. Elsewhere at Boots, the The Ordinary GF 15% Serum for Visible Skin Repair and Wrinkles is £13.50 and contains a 15% solution of growth factors to ‘minimize the look of skin damage to regenerate the appearance of ageing skin’. This isn’t the only deal at Waitrose when it comes to skincare as its current offers includes 25% off some brands like Q+A, Simple, Nivea, Garnier Olay, Weleda and more. For example, the Weleda Skin Food – a product loved by celebrities like Hailey Bieber – is now £10.43 down from £15.95. Perfect for any dry skin issues, the nourishing and rich cream supports the skin’s protective barrier whilst offering calming benefits thanks to extracts of pansy, chamomile and calendula in the formula. It’s been hailed as a ‘wonder cream’ by one shopper who said: “Really works a treat in this cold weather when I’m getting rashes from from dry & itchy skin…the best creams on the market in my opinion, well worth the price & have better environmental polices than many other products.” “Brilliant — no wonder it’s a “cult” product Best moisturiser I’ve ever had. It makes a clear, visible difference – almost acts like a filler, and is a great base for make-up. Yes, it’s thick, but that’s the point of it – it’s intensely moisturising,” remarked another. The Olay Regenerist Day Cream is also on sale with 50% off and costs £15.75 instead of £31.50. Another solution for wrinkles and fine lines, the formula offers ‘firmer, smoother, radiant skin in seven days’. The anti-ageing cream contains 99% pure niacinamide which boosts surface skin cell renewal while its anti-ageing peptides ‘visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles’. Lisa Snowdon-backed Prai Ageless Throat & Decolletage Creme is also discounted with 25% off. Now £24 down from £32, the cream contains Sepilift technology, hyaluronic acid and squalane. This combination has been clinically proven ingredients to reduce wrinkles and improve skin tone, tightening the throat and colletage – banishing the dreaded turkey neck.
