The Savannah Bananas are coming to Foxboro, Massachusetts.
The baseball team — or, more precisely, the “Banana Ball” team — will play two games at Gillette Stadium on Aug. 28 and 29 as part of their 2026 World Tour.
The Bananas announced Thursday that they would be joined by new teams in the new Banana Ball Championship League.
Gillette Stadium, the home of the New England Patriots, made its own announcement Thursday.
“The weekend will feature the Bananas taking on brand-new team the Loco Beach Coconuts in two games of fan-first, high-octane Banana Ball complete with choregraphed dances, unique uniforms, scoring celebrations, walk-up song performances, breakdancing coaches and more,” a stadium spokesperson wrote in a press release.
Ticket lotteries are now open for all Bananas games, with information available on the team’s website.
The biggest news of the evening came with the announcement of two new teams in the Banana Ball Championship League, with the Loco Beach Coconuts and the Indianapolis Clowns joining the Bananas, Party Animals, Firefighters and Texas Tailgaters.
All six of the teams in the league will play a 60-game schedule in the new year, according to the Bananas, with a tour championship wrapping up the festivities.
The Coconuts and Clowns both named “Prime Time Coaches” that will coach in their biggest games, with former MLB stars Shane Victorino and Ryan Howard serving as the coaches of the two teams, respectively.
The Bananas, the flagship team of the league, will play a series of games in major football and baseball stadiums next season, including the Caesar’s Superdome in New Orleans on March 14 and 15.
The Bananas will also play games at Kenan Stadium, home of the North Carolina Tar Heels, Neyland Stadium, home of the Tennessee Volunteers, and Kinnick Stadium, home of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Finally, the Bananas will play home games in San Diego’s Petco Park (March 21 and 22), Anaheim’s Angel Stadium (March 27 and 28), and New York’s Yankee Stadium (April 25 and 26) during the coming year.
In all, the six teams will play in 45 states in the coming year, according to the Bananas.
