Mark the 26th of November on your calendars — Ndaitwah

Staff Reporter

FEELING sorry for an opponent’s precarious situation is unheard of in politics. Therefore, there is no such thing as deliberately handing over power to your opponents simply because you pity them and think you have already done what is sufficient.

This was said by General (rtd) Epaphras Denga Ndaitwah — the First Gentleman — at a function where the SWAPO district office in his Okongo home village in the Ohangwena Region was named after him on Saturday.

The ruling SWAPO Party has won consecutive elections since the country attained its independence 35 years ago, and Ndaitwah is calling on party members, supporters, and sympathizers to make sure that the party wins again this year.

He urged all registered voters to mark the 26th of November on their calendars and to make sure that on that day they flock to the polls in big numbers to cast their ballots in both regional and local council elections.
