The Blues went 35-18-7 after bringing in former Boston Bruins coach Jim Montgomery and pushed the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Winnipeg Jets to seven games in the first round of the playoffs. St. Louis hopes for a bounce-back season from Nick Bjugstad, who underwent offseason back surgery after scoring just 19 points for the Utah Hockey Club last season. The Blues also traded for 22-year-old defenseman Logan Mailloux from the Montreal Canadiens, who slots into the right side of the team’s third defensive pair.
Minnesota signed superstar Kirill Kaprizov to an NHL record eight-year, $136 million extension last month and got standout play last season from Filip Gustavsson in net. Young Jesper Wallstedt will be the backup in 2025-26 after the retirement of Marc-Andre Fleury, and the team battled through a mass of injuries to finish with 97 points and a six-game loss to the Vegas Golden Knights in the first round of the playoffs.
This is a great NHL matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
