Users across several US cities reported widespread disruptions to Google services, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Meet and Google Calendar on Wednesday evening. According to Downdetector, the issues began around 9:04 AM Eastern Time (6:34 PM IST), with a significant spike in user-reported problems. The Google Workspace Status Dashboard confirmed the disruptions, stating that they were investigating reports of issues with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chat, Google Cloud Search, Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Meet, Google Tasks and Google Voice. The incident began at 12:25 PM UTC and was resolved by 1:20 PM UTC. Users across various regions, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco, experienced difficulties accessing their Google accounts and services. Some users reported being unable to log in to their Gmail accounts, while others experienced slow loading times or error messages when trying to access Google Drive and Google Meet. Several users on social media indicated issues with the popular email service. As of now, Google has not provided a detailed explanation for the cause of the outage. However, services are gradually being restored and users are advised to check the Google Workspace Status Dashboard for updates.
