Comedy show, trunk-or-treat and 4 more things to do this weekend in mid-Michigan

Mid-Michigan is packed with entertainment this weekend, from comedy and concerts to art and Halloween fun.
Here’s a look at five events happening from Friday, Oct. 10, through Sunday, Oct. 12, across Flint, Saginaw and Bay City.
Patton Oswalt at Flint’s Capitol Theatre
Comedian and actor Patton Oswalt is bringing his “Effervescent” comedy tour to Flint on Saturday where he will be performing at the Capitol Theatre. Tickets are still available at this link.
The show is recommended for ages 18 and older.
Classic film screening at Saginaw’s Temple Theatre
See “The Nightmare Before Christmas” at the Temple Theatre in Saginaw as a part of the Saginaw Silver Screen, a classic movie series.
The show starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday, and $12 tickets are available at this link.

Trunk-or-Treat at The Farm at Apple Acres
Start your Halloween festivities early this weekend with the 5th annual Trunk-or-Treat event at The Farm at Apple Acres, 2282 E. Salzburg Road, in Bay City.
Families can enjoy trick or treating while surrounded by farm animals. Fresh donuts and cider will be available for purchase in the shop. The event begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Beer & Donut Mile
Drink a beer or eat a donut and run a lap four times in a row this Saturday for the Humane Society of Bay County.
Tickets for the 21+ beer mile and all-ages donut mile are available on this website.
The races will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Doc Letchfield Park, 301 North Street in Pinconning. Runners must bring their own beers and they must be standard fermented brews.
ARTWALK
ARTWALK in downtown Flint will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday. The annual event, held every second Friday, is a collaboration between businesses in Flint’s downtown district to support artists and display their work.
Buckham Gallery will feature three concurrent exhibitions.
Rio Da Yung OG at Flint’s Capitol Theatre
Only resale tickets are still available for Rio Da Yung OG’s scheduled concert in his hometown of Flint, Michigan. The Flint artist will perform downtown as a part of his “Welcome Home” Tour.
This concert was rescheduled to Oct. 10 after being originally planned for April 5. All tickets remain valid for the new date.
