Next meeting of West Lothian History and Amenity Society will be talk on Edinburgh’s New Town

The next meeting of the West Lothian History and Amenity Society (WLHAAS) will be a talk on Edinburgh’s New Town, to be given by Tom Harrison, a former teacher and education manager. He has given many talks on both the Old and New Town, and society members are fortunate to have him come and speak to the society. Members are at last returning to Bathgate for this meeting, having booked Room 11 (the Crans-Gevrier Room) in Bathgate Partnership Centre. There is a car park immediately west of the Centre; another one in Gardner’s Lane, to the east; and another one behind the Regal Theatre, entered from Mill Road. The event starts at 7.30pm. Non-members are welcome to come along, and perhaps give a donation. If you’d like to join the society (£20 for all seven talks), speak to any committee member, or email us on wlhaas@hotmail.com.
