The Central government has approved a new Vande Bharat train from Ernakulam (Kochi) to Bengaluru via Thrissur and Palakkad, BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar announced on X, stressing that there has been a strong demand for more train services from Kerala to Bengaluru. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chandrashekhar said that the matter was brought to the attention of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw a month ago, and he has approved the decision. “I sincerely thank him for the swift and favorable decision,” he wrote in a post on X, referring to the railway minister. Vaishnaw, in a post on X, shared that the proposal for the train has been considered. “Glad to share that Rajeev Chandrashekhar’s proposal for Vande Bharat Express between Ernakulam & Bengaluru has been considered and is set to launch by mid-November,” he wrote.
