Aston Martin DB12 S Revealed - Here Is What We Know So Far

Aston Martin, the famous British car brand known for making some of the world’s most elegant, powerful and luxury cars, has just revealed its latest model the DB12 S. This new super-luxury sports car combines extreme speed, gorgeous looks and high-end comfort. It is the latest in Aston Martin’s long tradition of “S” models that stand for sportier performance. The “S” badge has been part of Aston Martin’s history since 1953 which startes with the DB3S race car. Over the years, the “S” symbol has appeared on many high-performance versions like the Vanquish S, Vantage S, and Rapide S. Now, the DB12 S joins that legacy that takes the brand’s luxury and performance to a whole new level. Under the hood of DB12 S is a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 690 bhp and 800 Nm of torque, that gives it an incredible top speed of 325 km/h and lets it sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. The car also gets a new launch control system and faster gearshifts which makes acceleration even smoother. Aston Martin has also tuned the sports exhaust system to make the engine sound even more powerful. For those who love a louder roar, there is also an optional titanium exhaust, which is lighter and adds an extra punch to the rev sound. These brakes are lighter than normal steel ones which helps the car handle better and stop more efficiently. Engineers have also improved the steering system and rear differential so the car feels sharper and more responsive when driving fast. The DB12 S looks stunning and sharp from every angle as it features a new front splitter, bonnet vents and a rear spoiler all of which not only make it look sportier but also improve aerodynamics of this car. The “S” badge appears in several spots which reminds everyone that this is no ordinary Aston Martin. From the inside, the DB12 S feels like a blend of race car and luxury lounge. Customers can choose from three interior themes- Accelerate, Inspire S (leather and Alcantara) and Inspire S full leather. Every inch of the cabin is extra-ordinarily finished which features handcrafted seats, S Herringbone quilting and Aston Martin’s signature wings embossed on the headrests. Simon Newton, Director of Vehicle Performance at Aston Martin, said, “With DB12 S, we have carefully engineered a host of detailed changes, which preserve signature levels of refinement, boost vehicle performance, and amplify driver engagement.” For more two wheeler, three wheeler and auto industry updates, stay tuned to Times Now Auto.
