Peeche Toh Dekho Star Ahmad Shah’s Younger Brother Dies After Cardiac Arrest

The Shah family, known for bringing smiles to millions through viral videos and television appearances, has been struck by tragedy once again. Umer Shah, younger brother of child star Ahmad Shah, popularly known as the “Peeche Toh Dekho” meme sensation, died on Monday, September 15, following a cardiac arrest.
Ahmad confirmed the heartbreaking news through his official social media account, asking fans to keep his late brother in their prayers.
In a moving note, Ahmad described his sibling as the family’s “little shining star.” He wrote on Instagram, “Our little shining star has left us. Please remember my brother and family in your prayers.” Alongside the message, Ahmad shared photographs of Umer, leaving fans and followers mourning the young boy’s untimely death.

Umer, like his elder brother, had become a household name in Pakistan. He appeared frequently on entertainment shows including Jeeto Pakistan and ARY Digital’s Ramazan special Shan-e-Ramazan. The brothers were often seen in themed costumes and their playful on-screen presence made them audience favourites.
Television anchor Waseem Badami, who hosted the Shah brothers multiple times on Shan-e-Ramazan, confirmed the cause of death. He revealed he had been in touch with doctors and said Umer passed away in the early hours of Monday due to cardiac arrest.
Tributes poured in soon after the announcement. Jeeto Pakistan host Fahad Mustafa shared his grief on social media, writing he was “Speechless” and lamenting that “Our Umer has left us.” Jerjees Seja, CEO of ARY Digital, admitted he was “still in shock” over the news.
Actor Mahira Khan also reacted, posting on Instagram, “Unbelievable. Don’t even know what to say. May Allah give his family sabr.”
Outside of television, Umer was active on social media, regularly sharing reels and short videos that entertained his growing online following.
This is not the first tragedy to hit the family. In November 2023, Ahmad and Umer lost their youngest sister, Ayesha, who died following health complications.
