Nicole Kidman’s very telling remark amid Keith Urban split

The Aussie actor, 58, filed for divorce from Urban, 57, last week, 19 years after they tied the knot. The pair share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

In her new Vogue cover story, Kidman was asked how she felt in this decade of her life, to which she cryptically replied: “How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn’t going in that direction?”

According to multiple reports, the once famously loved-up pair had been separated for months at the time of the interview. In her divorce filing, Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the break-up.

The publication of her Vogue appearance came just one day after Kidman broke her social media silence as she celebrated a day out with her daughters at Paris Fashion Week.

“Thank you [Chanel] for having me and my girls️,” she wrote on Instagram along with photos of herself at the event.

Kidman arrived at the event proudly flanked by her teens, with the trio posing hand-in-hand for photographers outside the venue for he Chanel runway show.

Since news of the split surfaced last week, there’s been plenty of speculation about what caused the demise of the high-profile relationship.

According to one report, Kidman felt Urban was “not as supportive” of her career as she was of his, leading to issues in the marriage, it’s been claimed.

A source told People magazine that Kidman and Urban, both managing hectic workloads amid their hugely successful careers, had very different perspectives on how they should be supporting each other by the end of their relationship.

Meanwhile, another insider told Page Six that the actor is “sad, but moving on with her life” following the breakdown of the relationship and is “making sure her kids are taken care of”.

Earlier in the week, the publication had reported that Urban was the one who called it quits.

During their early years together and as they welcomed their children, Kidman had been “all about them” – but as they grew up, she refocused on her acting career, and “truly thrived” being back at work.

“Now when they are older, [Sunday and Faith] love seeing their mum work. They are very supportive of their mum,” the source told People.

But the insider crushed the country singer, claiming he has “been the opposite”.

“Keith was used to her being supportive of his career. He’s not been as supportive as she hoped,” they said.

Kidman just finished filming the long-awaited Practical Magic sequel in the UK, and has four other TV shows in production.

Neither Kidman or Urban have spoken publicly about the split – but just one day after news broke, the Perfect Couple actor officially filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

On Monday, a source had told People that Kidman “didn’t want” to end the marriage, and had been “fighting” to save it.

Rumours have also begun circulating recently that Urban has moved on with a new woman amid the break-up.

“All the signs point to the fact Keith is with another woman. Let’s just say, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it,” one anonymous source told entertainment website TMZ.
