Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon’s biggest sale event of the year, and it’s day two. We’ve got eyes on all the best laptop discounts and keeping a list of the sales worth considering. We’re watching several of the best devices we tested this year, like the MacBook Air M4, Apple’s new ultraportable from 2025, and the Microsoft Surface Laptop, which is down to $999, one of the lowest prices we’ve ever seen for it.

If you’re looking to grab a deal before tariffs impact prices, you might want to spring now. Amazon is monitoring laptops carefully with Prime Day deals that cover a broad range of prices, but as always, inventory is limited. Here are the best deals we’ve found.

With these specs, it’s designed to handle the basics for work or school, with a full-sized keyboard for ease of use.HP ProBook 460 G11: $924 (save $574 at Amazon): You can also save on an HP ProBook, a laptop equipped with a 16-inch display, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of SSD storage.HP Stream 14: $213 (save $35 at Walmart): If you want an entry-level laptop for your kids, consider the HP Stream — a laptop I frequently recommend. If entertainment is your top priority, consider this option. Dell 14 Plus Laptop: $499 (save $500 at Dell): Dell’s latest 14-inch with the high-end Intel Core Ultra 9 processor is massively marked down right now on Dell’s website. This is a powerful consumer PC from this year with a sleek and portable 14-inch form factor and competitive hardware for a variety of uses.

Acer Nitro V: $599 (save $150): Acer’s 15-inch Nitro V comes with 8GB of RAM but is expandable out to 32GB, with a FHD+ display, 165Hz refresh rate, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 that supports ray tracing and DLSS 3.5 AI-powered upscaling.MSI Thin 15: $759 (save $150): Looking for a portable gaming laptop? The MSI Thin lives up to its name as a lightweight device that’s easily transported but still powerful. You’ve got an Intel i7 processor and Nvidia RTX 4050 for a very affordable mid-range price point, along with a 144Hz FHD display and 16GB of RAM.

Lenovo ThinkPad E16 G2: $900 (save $399 at Amazon): Lenovo’s ThinkPad lineup needs no introduction, but this 16-inch E-series laptop comes with a full-sized keyboard and AMD Ryzen 7 chip for reliable work performance. Acer Aspire 15 Slim Laptop: $329 (save $20): This 15-inch from Acer’s budget-friendly lineup is already inexpensive, but you can save a little before Amazon’s sale event. The Intel Core 3 N355 and 8GB of RAM make this an affordable laptop for everyday tasks.

Best Chromebook deals

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook: $218 (save $181 at Best Buy): If you’re looking for a slim, 14-inch Chromebook to take with you when you are attending school or need basic online access, this model is for you. Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go: $159 (save $170 at Best Buy): If you’d prefer a Samsung model, check out the discount on a 14-inch option with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. While the memory is low, granted, it might be worth it as a trade-off for the storage. Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go: $180 (save $120 at Amazon): Samsung’s thin and lightweight Galaxy Chromebook has a microSD slot and lots of ports, making it a great device for students.
