Vicky Pattison, one of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing contestants, was moved to tears after a professional dancer shared a touching social media post this week. BBC show professional Lauren Oakley, who has been paired with sports legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, helped secure an impressive score of 25 that placed them seventh on the leaderboard. While both performers wowed the judges, Lauren touched hearts after revealing a behind-the-scenes moment that viewers didn’t witness, leaving Vicky Pattison tearful. This follows the Geordie star recently giving a health update after being forced to pull out of a show. The footage showed Lauren taking to the floor with an elderly gentleman named Mark, who happens to be her mum’s dancing partner, reports Wales Online . She wrote alongside the clip: “They danced together from when they were 6, won lots of titles, and they are still dance partners today. “He’s supported me at every competition growing up, and all the way through my professional on-stage and Strictly career. “It was an absolute pleasure to be able to dance a Waltz with him on the Strictly floor during the pre-records [sic], a special moment indeed.” Fans quickly flooded the comments section with praise for the heartwarming footage, as Vicky asked: “Why did this make me cry?” Fellow professional Gorka Marquez agreed: “This was so beautiful.” Another person posted: “Oh I filled up reading this, beautiful. How lovely.” Another fan remarked: “How special for both of you Lauren. And so stunningly beautiful!” One follower chimed in: “What an incredibly special and beautiful moment, a full circle moment.” While another confessed: “Brings a tear to the eyes.” This weekend, viewers will watch Lauren and Jimmy perform a dramatic Rumba to the James Bond theme song No Time To Die for Movie Week. BBC audiences can also look forward to Ellie Goldstein and Vito Coppola’s Samba to Dance the Night from Barbie, as well as Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin’s American Smooth to Sixteen Going on Seventeen from The Sound of Music. Stefan Dennis and Dianne Buswell will be performing a Waltz to It Is You (I Have Loved) from Shrek, while Chris Robshaw and Nadia Bychkova are set to deliver a Paso Doble to ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ from Thor. Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday, October 11 on BBC One from 6:05pm
