New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, Asia’s biggest tech and telecom forum, at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said India has transformed from a “technology taker” to the “digital flag bearer of the world.” Highlighting the country’s progress, he said 99.9% of districts are connected by 5G, data costs have fallen by 98%, and India now has over 944 million broadband users. The event also features the Startup World Cup 2025 where Indian innovators will compete for a USD 1 million global prize.
