Celebrate Italian heritage with a four-day festival featuring live music, fireworks, rides, games, food vendors, contests, and performances by Judy Torres and the MGM Guarnera Brothers. Hosted by Catholic Charities of Staten Island.

Pumpkin Picking at Decker Farm| October weekends, noon-5 p.m.
Search the patch for the perfect pumpkin, enjoy a classic hayride with family and friends, and indulge in delicious fall food favorites at New York City’s oldest continuously working family farm. Activities include pumpkin picking (priced by weight), hayrides, pumpkin chucking, fall photo opportunities, pumpkin painting, and seasonal food and treats from vendors.

Eibs Pond Park Tree and Shrub Planting | 10 a.m.- 12 p.m.
Volunteer with the Stewardship Team to plant trees and shrubs in the forest of Eibs Pond Park! Trees and shrubs provide many benefits to New Yorkers such as improved air and water quality, reduced pollution, and lower energy costs. Volunteers will be trained in proper planting techniques. Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long sleeves, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty.

Crafternoons: Crochet Granny Squares with Jade Dinkins | 1-3 p.m.
Learn to stitch a basic granny square block — one of the foundational patterns of crochet! Participants will learn basic stitches, how to work in rounds, and how to combine colors and textures to create their own unique squares. On National Coming Out Day, Staten Island-based queer arts collective Queer Van Kult presents a site-specific performance and installation event at Alice Austen House Park. This poetic act of remembrance, reflection, and reclamation honors queer lineage, local memory, and personal transformation through sculpture, performance, sound, and immersive installations.
