India’s airline giant, IndiGo, has announced the launch of flights between Mumbai and Copenhagen (Denmark) soon. The flights are now open for sale on all platforms, including IndiGo’s official website, its mobile app, and across authorised travel partners. This will mark IndiGo’s entry into the Scandinavian region, which will help strengthen the airline’s presence in Europe, offering Copenhagen as a gateway to the Nordic region for Indian travelers. When will the operations start? The airline announced the flights between Mumbai and Copenhagen will start from October 8, 2025, and will operate thrice weekly flights on the route using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. With offering different options as per the comfort of the passengers, the airline will offer Economy class as well as its tailor-made business product, IndiGoStretch, in which they can enjoy complimentary hot meals and beverages and have access to in-flight entertainment. Passengers opting for the IndiGoStretch will enjoy extra legroom, reclinable seating, priority check-in, and premium amenities, which will be specially curated for long-haul journeys. They will also be provided with travel essentials, including sleep sprays, to ensure comfort throughout their journey. With this, IndiGo further expands its international network into Northern Europe, making Copenhagen its 44th international and 138th overall destination. “With growing demand for travel between India and Northern Europe, we are delighted to connect Mumbai to Copenhagen, marking IndiGo’s entry into the Scandinavian region,” Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo, said.
