Industry season 4: key information

– Renewed in September 2024
– Production began in March 2025
– Filming wrapped in August 2025
– Multiple new cast announcements
– Main cast expected to return
– Plot details remain under wraps
– Co-creators have signed three-year HBO exclusive TV deal
Industry season 4 has officially wrapped filming, which means we hopefully won’t have to wait too much longer before HBO’s high finance and high drama series returns.

Across three seasons, viewers have watched on as the group of young bankers navigate the work-and-play lifestyle of Pierpoint & Co’s London office. It’s a job that’s seen even the most confident of arrogant graduates humbled, especially in season 3.
But, when there’s big money involved, there’s also an intoxicating mix of stress and success that keeps them all coming back for more – or chasing even bigger dreams. And the season 3 finale left a lot hanging in the balance.

So, when it comes to Industry season 4, here’s what we know so far from release date prediction, confirmed cast, plot synopsis, and more.

Full spoilers for Industry seasons 1-3 to follow. Plus, potential spoilers for Industry season 4.

Industry season 4: is there a release date?

After being renewed by HBO in September 2024, Industry season 4 officially began production in March with the tagline: “New season. Same relentless ambition.”
And in August, the show’s co-creator, Konrad Kay, posted a behind-the-scenes video to his Instagram story announcing that filming had officially wrapped.

So far, the last three seasons have been two years apart and it looks like the cast and crew are on schedule to keep up with tradition.
With all this in mind, I’d predict the Industry season 4 release date to be early-to-mid 2026 – but there’s no official date yet.

There’s no Industry season 4 trailer to share just yet. Historically, the trailers for each season have dropped a couple of months before the show premieres.

Since we don’t have a release date and so far only a prediction of 2026, I’d say that we won’t see a trailer until sometime around then.
Industry season 4 confirmed and predicted cast

Spoilers follow for Industry seasons 1-3.
There’s plenty to talk about when it comes to the Industry season 4 cast with returning characters (both confirmed and predicted) and all-new joiners:

Myha’la as Harper Stern
Maris Abela as Yasmin Kara-Hanani
Eric as Ken Leung
Sagar Radia as Rishi Ramdani
Kit Harington as Sir Henry Muck
Sarah Goldberg as Petra Koenig
Roger Barclay as Otto Mostyn
Miriam Petche as Sweetpea Golightly
Faith Alabi as Aurore Adekunle
Irfan Shamji as Anraj Chabra
Jay Duplass as Jesse Bloom
Max Minghella as Whitney Halberstram
Kiernan Shipka as Hayley Clay
Jack Farthing as Edward Smith
Toheeb Jimoh as Kwabena Bannerman
Amy James-Kelly as Jennifer Bevan
Kal Penn as Jay Jonah Atterbury
Charlie Heaton as Jim Dycker
Claire Forlani as Cordelia Hanani-Spyrka

Rob Spearing won’t return for Industry season 4 (Image credit: HBO Max)
There’s one character we know won’t be returning for season 4 and that’s Harry Lawtey as Rob Spearing.
While the season 3 finale saw Rob relocating to work for a startup in the US, which opened up a new path and storyline, Deadline confirmed that Lawtey would actually not be returning at all for season 4, citing “scheduling conflicts.”
Conor MacNeill as Kenny Kilbane is another character that may well have met his end in Industry after being fired from Pierpoint in season 3. Speaking to RadioTimes, MacNeill spoke about whether he’ll be back: “Kenny’s gone from Pierpoint – at the end of season 3, Pierpoint is gone itself. I don’t know is the God’s honest truth. It felt very explosive.”
But, there’s plenty of new characters joining the cast for season 4 with promisingly drama-filled roles. As reported by Variety in February, Max Minghella will join as Whitney Halberstram, “the CFO and Founder of Tender, a payment processor entering a growth phase.”
Then, in March, Variety also added Kiernan Shipka, Jack Farthing, Toheeb Jimoh and Amy James-Kelly to the cast.
Shipka will play Hayley Clay, an “executive assistant at payment processor Tender.” Fathering will play Edward Smith, a “troublemaker and long-time friend of Henry’s.” Jimoh will play Kwabena Bannerman, a “trader at Mostyn Asset Management.” And James-Kelly as Jennifer Bevan, a “newly promoted Minister in the Labour government.”
And later in March, Variety confirmed Kal Penn as Jay Jonah Atterbury, a “CEO and founder of payment processor Tender.” Charlie Heaton as Jim Dycker, a “finance journalist.” And finally, Forlani as Cordelia Hanani-Spyrka, a “corporate PR heavy-hitter.”
Industry season 4 story speculation

Yasmin made a bold decision for her own future (Image credit: HBO Max)
Full spoilers follow for Industry seasons 1-3.

We don’t know much about the Industry season 4 plot, but there have been some teasers from the show’s co-creators, Mickey Down and Konrad Kay.
Speaking during the Deadline x HBO FYC event in New York in December 2024, Deadline reported Down saying: “We want to write a corporate thriller.” Adding that they’re looking to 2007’s Michael Clayton for inspiration.
And season 3 take the world of Industry and Pierpoint & Co much further than the trading floor. Judging by the new cast joining and their revealed roles, there’s clearly more finance companies to get involved in the drama from Tender to Mostyn Asset Management.

A shock murder leaves Rishi’s future hanging in the balance (Image credit: HBO Max)
The season 3 finale saw a lot of the main cast addressing big problems in their work and personal lives. For Rishi, his gambling addiction took a tumultuous turn that amalgamated in his wife getting shot by his loan shark.
But, when it comes to what happens next for Rishi, Down says: “My instinct as a nice person, obviously, is to give Rishi a nice ending, but my instinct as a writer of Industry is to give Rishi a slightly less nice ending.”
And for Yasmin, she found herself in a romantic crossroads with Henry and Rob, finally making a bold decision which, when speaking to Deadline, explained how season 4 will see “the hardest version of her.”
With Pierpoint acquired and its corporate ladder in tatters, Harper spearheading her own startup, betrayals left right and centre, and life-changing secrets uncovered, there’s a lot to pick up on in Industry season 4 and I’ve got big hopes it’ll be even more dramatic than season 3.
Will Industry return after season 4?

More seasons to come? We’ll cheers to that (Image credit: HBO Max)
While there’s no word yet about additional seasons beyond Industry season 4, there is some positive news that could hint towards its future.
At the end of 2024, Deadline reported that the Down and Kay had signed a new three-year overall exclusive TV deal with HBO, starting in January 2025. This one picking up where their previous deal ended.
So far, that looks like Industry season 4 falls under the new deal, but there’s plenty of room for at least one more, right?
While season 4 got its renewal before season 3 has even aired, I’m sure there will be news in 2026. I’ll update here as soon as I hear more.
