The demonstrators have been protesting against corruption and a government-imposed social media ban, according to the report. Oli said that, “I have resigned from the post of prime minister with effect from today… in order to take further steps towards a political solution and resolution of the problems,” as quoted by News18.Multiple Ministers Step Down Amid Growing Violence in NepalIn addition to Oli, at least four ministers in his government have also resigned amid the unrest, according to the report.
