As part of its Fall Prime Day Sale, Segway is saving folks hundreds of dollars on EVs, with some notable discounts on the e-bikes, specifically, that deserve some spotlight time. During this short-term sale, you can hop on the Xafari e-bike at $1,999.99 shipped, while the more advanced Xyber e-bike is down at $2,900 shipped. These newer releases normally fetch $2,400 and $3,300 at full price, with the discounts we have seen in their short time on the market being scarce and only going as low as $2,000 and $3,000. Today’s deal sees the return of the Xafari’s $400 markdown, while the Xyber is getting a larger-than-ever $400 markdown to match, landing them at their return and new lowest prices to date.
Of Segway’s two e-bikes, the Xafari e-bike is the most well-rounded, intended “for everyone, yet far from ordinary,” and comes as an all-terrain cruiser that fits the needs of varying ages and experience levels. It sports a 750W rear hub motor alongside a removable 936Wh battery, hitting 20 MPH top speeds and carrying you for up to 88 miles of pedal-assisted travel on a 6-hour charge. One thing to note here is the increased 12 PAS levels to choose from that all come supported by a torque sensor.
There are many features focused on your comfort, like the 80mm front/70mm rear suspension, adjustable compression damping and lock-out fork, and 26-inch by 3-inch all-terrain tires that smooth out journeys, among many other premium features. One of the biggest standouts on this model and its Xyber sibling is the addition of Segway’s Intelligent Ride System, giving it some top-of-the-line smart features. These include Airlock wireless proximity security, an alarm system, Apple Find My, GPS, adaptive pedal assistance, and more.
Speed freaks and the more adventurous riders will likely have their interests piqued by the alternate Xyber e-bike, which has the same array of advanced smart features as was previously mentioned. This is a lighter EV that boasts a 0 to 20 MPH acceleration in 2.7 seconds, with that speed still able to climb up to 35 MPH in its race mode. It has a monstrous 6,000W direct-drive motor and 2,880Wh (dual-battery) combo that provides up to 112 miles of travel after only four hours of charging, with a similar 12-level PAS lineup – plus, three different throttle-only options too.
This model definitely sports an even more premium array of features, with an inverted dual-crown fork, a classic rear swing-arm system, coil-sprung, hydraulically damped front and rear suspension, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, 20-inch by 5-inch tires with flat-resistant inserts, and plenty more.
