Comedian Samay Raina recently grabbed everyone’s attention at the launch of Aryan Khan’s first show, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. He wore a T-shirt that read “Say No to Cruise,” which immediately became a hot topic of discussion. The shirt was a reference to Aryan’s well-known drug case and former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede. Now, weeks after the premiere, Raghav Juyal, who has a major role in the Netflix series, recalled the moment and how everyone reacted to Samay’s outfit, including Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan.
In 2021, Aryan spent nearly a month in police custody and went through several court hearings after Wankhede arrested him for alleged drug use and distribution. Along with Aryan, some of his close friends, including a few Bollywood actors, were also questioned during the investigation. After a long legal process, Aryan was declared not guilty of all charges.
Raghav Juyal Recalls Shah Rukh Khan’s Reaction
While speaking on Ranveer Allahabadia’s podcast, Raghav Juyal said, “This man never runs out of mischief. He showed up wearing this T-shirt and people were laughing. Aryan was laughing too. Aryan and Shah Rukh Khan were laughing. Everyone is laughing because only he can do that. If we tried, we can’t, that’s just his nature. That’s how he is, so he gets away with it. We can’t do that. We just can’t. I don’t have this photo. Samay is standing with Aryan, wearing a ‘Say no to Cruise’ T-shirt.”
When Ranveer asked about Shah Rukh Khan’s reaction, Juyal added, “It was very shocking. He was roaming around the entire party, showing everyone, including Shah Rukh Khan. Everyone was laughing because he couldn’t do anything. Shah Rukh Khan sir treats everyone like his own son.”
Sameer Wankhede Files Defamation Case
Interestingly, Sameer Wankhede was in the news recently after he filed a defamation case against Aryan Khan and Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s company, Red Chillies Entertainment. In The Bads of Bollywood, a scene features a character that looks like Wankhede, which many believe mocks the former officer.
Wankhede claimed the makers of the show tried to damage his image. Wankhede has also demanded Rs 2 crore in damages, stating that the entire amount will be donated to Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital to help the cancer patients.
