On September 12, 2025, Hilda Baci nearly broke the internet as she prepared 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) of jollof rice in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
Over two thousand Nigerians gathered at Eko Hotel and Suites to witness the historic event where Hilda Baci partnered with Gino to prepare the massive dish.
Some famous Nigerian celebrities and fans had the opportunity to witness the cooking process and sample the jollof rice.
In 2023, Hilda Baci rose to the limelight when she attempted a cook-a-thon marathon, and this latest event served not only to set a world record but also to promote Nigerian culinary culture.

On September 13, 2025, a representative from Guinness World Records tasted Hilda Baci’s Jollof after hours of cooking.
The female judge was served the jollof rice in a disposable bowl during a public celebration as fans early awaited her feedback.
