The 2025 Oktoberfest will feature authentic German food, beverages and entertainment, along with a kids zone, vendors and more.
HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — The 2025 Oktoberfest returns to Havre de Grace this weekend with authentic German fare, German beer, live music, food vendors and more.
The event runs Saturday, Oct. 11, from noon to 7 p.m. at Concord Point Park. There will be adult beverages, craft and merchandise vendors, activities, games, pumpkin painting and more. Bambi Johnson, chief of parks, events and recreation for the city of Havre de Grace, told Patch that 2025 marks the 10th year for the event.
“The first Oktoberfest in Havre de Grace was held in 2015 at Hutchins Park. We have since moved to Concord Point Park after we outgrew Hutchins,” Johnson told Patch. “Guests can enjoy authentic German beers, food and lots of pretzels. There will be live German music and entertainment, German merchandise and a kids zone with games and crafts. There will be Splash Golf where you hit biodegradable golf balls filled with fish food over the water – try to hit the target for a prize.”
The free event also is family friendly with an expanded kids zone, Johnson said.
“The kids zone offers free pumpkin painting to those 10 and under, a kiddie maze made of hay bales, giant inflatable games, a petting zoo, an interactive bubble artist, a balloon twister, games and crafts. There is also an entertainment stage in the kids zone where magic shows will take place throughout the day by Mr. Twister of ‘Nothing Up My Sleeve.’ All kids zone activities are free.”
There’s a dedicated German food vendor, as well as food trucks with specialty German food items – with plenty of pretzels and German beer.
“There also will be local food trucks offering a variety of other foods from pizza to tacos to shrimp, chicken, steak and everything in between,” Johnson told Patch. “There will be live German music and German folk dancers on the mainstage by The Enzian Volkstanzgruppe and Enzian Kapelle.”
Proceeds from the German beer and wine benefit the Masons, Susquehanna Lodge No. 130. All other proceeds offset the cost of the entertainment, the free activities, games and prizes offered at Oktoberfest, Johnson said.
“Come experience the best of Bavaria with a Bay view Set in picturesque Concord Point Park in Havre de Grace, this isn’t just an event — it’s one of Harford County’s largest folk festivals, offering unparalleled views of the Susquehanna River where it meets the Chesapeake Bay,” Johnson said. “The Bier is calling in Havre de Grace! Prost!!”
