SOLON, Ohio — From roaring cheers in the gym to celebrations under the Friday night lights, Solon High School’s Homecoming weekend brought the community together in true Comet spirit.
The excitement kicked off Sept. 26 inside Solon High’s gymnasium, where students, staff, and athletes filled the bleachers for a high-energy pep rally. Fall sports teams were recognized and class competitions kept the crowd engaged.
“The energy was electric at this year’s pep rally,” said Tamara Strom, director of communications for Solon City Schools. “Students, staff, and athletes gathered to celebrate Comet pride as fall sports teams were recognized and class competitions brought out fierce school spirit.”
As the pep rally wrapped up, anticipation built for that evening’s football matchup against Stow. Strom said fans filled the stands and enthusiasm never wavered as the Comets took the field for the highly anticipated Homecoming game.
“Later that night, the Comets brought down the house with a Homecoming victory over Stow 28-24, the band and dance team were on fire all night and the cheerleaders kept everyone on their feet and in the stands,” she said.
Fans celebrated throughout the night, rallying behind the team’s hard-fought win and enjoying halftime festivities that highlighted student leadership and spirit. During the program, Solon High School crowned its 2025 Homecoming King and Queen, Garrett Dillow and Dylan Berk, and recognized court members Samantha Austin, Julia Gudalevich, Andrea Sanchez Camacho, Malec Jirari, Noah Prample, and Hunter Ramsey.
The celebration continued into the weekend, as students traded jerseys and pom-poms for formalwear at the Homecoming dance on Sept. 27. The event brought the Comet community together once more, rounding out a weekend filled with tradition, pride, and lasting memories.
