Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan officials exchange ideas on governance and development practices

Lanka Dinakar, Chairman of the Twenty-Point Programme Implementation Committee, welcomed a delegation from Rajasthan’s Planning Department to the Secretariat on Monday. The visit aims to exchange best governance practices and explore opportunities for mutual learning between the two States.

Recounting Andhra Pradesh’s July study tour to Rajasthan, Mr. Dinakar noted innovations such as Rajasthan’s Janaadhar Card system—similar to Andhra Pradesh’s Family Card—and the identification of aspirational blocks for targeted development.

He outlined Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of “Swarna Andhra @ 2047” to make Andhra Pradesh a USD 2.4 trillion economy in line with the national goal of “Viksit Bharat @ 2047.” The State is restructuring the Twenty-Point Programme into the “Swarna Andhra Implementation Programme” to align welfare and development goals with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Mr. Dinakar highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s GSDP of ₹15.93 lakh crore in 2024–25, ranking fifth nationally, and its investments in infrastructure, including new ports, airports, and a planned “Quantum Valley.” He said the State aspires to be a model of welfare-driven, growth-oriented, and technology-enabled governance.
