Alare Govinda troupe enthralls Udupi with Dahi Handi performances

Udupi: Mumbai’s renowned Alare Govinda troupe performed Dahi Handi at multiple locations across Udupi city on Monday, September 15, as part of the Vitlapindi celebrations. The 200-member troupe received a grand welcome from the local people, who cheered their spectacular displays of skill and coordination while breaking the dahi pots.

The team began their day at Udupi Sri Krishna Math and continued performing at a total of 10 locations across the city. One of the highlights of the event was the reception at Girija Healthcare & Surgical, where proprietor Ravindra Shetty and his staff felicitated the troupe for their performances.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravindra Shetty said, “I thank my friend Madhusudhan Poojary for giving me the opportunity to be part of this celebration. Girija Healthcare and Surgicals has always been at the forefront of supporting community events. On this joyous occasion of Vitlapindi, we joined hands to enhance the festivities. We will continue supporting such events in the future.”

The coordinators and managers of the Alare Govinda troupe were also felicitated for their efforts in organising the multiple performances across Udupi. Madhusudhan Poojary Kemmannu, coordinator of the Mumbai-based team, expressed gratitude to the local supporters for their warm welcome.

Ravindra Shetty also announced that Girija Healthcare & Surgicals will inaugurate a new showroom near Reliance Smart Bazaar on September 28, underlining their continued engagement with the local community.
