Abhay Deol has been an integral part of the Indian film industry since his debut in 2005 with the film Socha Na Tha. He is known for his work in both independent and mainstream Bollywood films, with notable performances in projects like Dev. D, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Oye Lucky! Happy Oye!, and Raanjhanaa, among others.
The actor is a part of the famous Deol family. He is the nephew of veteran actor Dharmendra and the cousin of actors Sunny and Bobby Deol.
Abhay Deol Shares Picture With Uncle Dharmendra
On Sunday, the ZNMD actor took to Instagram and dropped a picture with his uncle and veteran star Dharmendra, highlighting the strong bond he shared with the Sholay actor.
In the snapshot, Abhay and Dharmendra are seen sitting close to each other and looking straight into the camera and exuding their adorable smiles. Both of them are seen twinning in black formal suits.

Abhay Deol’s Work Front
The actor’s upcoming film, Bun Tikki, co-starring veteran actresses Zeenat Aman and Shabana Azmi, recently had its premiere at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF) 2025, which was held from September 18 to September 21.
Helmed by Faraz Arif Ansari and backed by Manish Malhotra’s Stage 5 Production, the film explores the story of a single father and his seven-year-old son, focusing on the father-son relationship, self-discovery, parental acceptance, and the societal challenges faced by families. The film is set in Nainital and centers on their emotional bond as they navigate identity, grief, and the pressures of society.
Earlier, the film had its world premiere at the 36th Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) in California.
However, the official release date of the film is yet to be announced.
Dharmendra’s Work Front
The veteran star, on the other hand, will be next seen in director Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis along with Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda. The film was earlier announced to be released on October 2, 2025. However, a new update regarding the same is still awaited.
