News of the passing of Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, the revered industrialist, agriculturalist, innovator, and man of God, has been confirmed by his family. The announcement has thrown the nation into mourning, particularly within the Christian community and Ghana’s industrial space, where Apostle Safo was celebrated as a pioneer of indigenous technology and self-reliance.
In the wake of his death, two viral videos of Prophet Samuel Henry, popularly known as Prophet Roja, have resurfaced on social media, with many pointing to them as prophetic foretellings of the Apostle’s passing.
In the first video, dated April 4, 2024, Prophet Roja is seen passionately urging Ghana’s leaders to urgently reach out to Apostle Safo, stressing that the man of God held the “secret” to Ghana’s economic recovery.

He revealed that Apostle Kwadwo Safo had held the secret for over 24 years and that the industrialist and man of God carried the key to Ghana’s economic emancipation, but the nation had failed to honour and recognize him adequately.
“Go and look for Apostle Safo,” Prophet Roja charged. “For over 24 years, the Lord has revealed to me that he holds the road to Ghana’s economic freedom. If you do not hurry and tap into it, the man will soon be called by his maker.”
In a second video, dated 12 September 2025, Prophet Roja used vivid imagery to describe what he had spiritually witnessed, saying:
“I have seen something… a big star enter into the clouds. When it entered the cloud, it did not come back. Then I saw a mantle descending from the cloud, but it did not fall on anybody. May his soul rest in peace. You are a legend; you fought so hard, and may the Lord give you rest. I have seen it, praise the Lord. I am going to pray for you, men of God.”
These prophetic declarations, now circulating widely on TikTok and other platforms, are being interpreted by many as direct revelations of Apostle Safo’s passing, with Prophet Roja’s earlier call for urgency taking on an even more sobering meaning.
Apostle Safo, affectionately known as the “Star of Africa,” was more than a man of God—he was an institution. As founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission and Kantanka Automobile, he embodied the spirit of African ingenuity, demonstrating that self-reliance and innovation were within Ghana’s grasp.
His death marks the end of an era but also raises deep reflection on whether Ghana truly honoured and tapped into the well of wisdom, knowledge, and solutions that he embodied.
With Prophet Roja’s prophecy now echoing in the public space, many are left asking: did Ghana miss a divine opportunity to fully embrace the legacy of a man many regard as a national treasure?
