Nandini Follows Mother Dairy, Amul To Cut Milk Product Prices In GST 2.0: Full Rate Card Here

GST Cut On Milk, Butter, Paneer: After the reduction in goods and services tax (GST) on milk and dairy products, the Karnataka Milk Federation’s ‘Nandini’ brand has announced a price cut on milk products like ghee, butter, paneer, joining Amul and Mother Dairy in passing on the benefits to consumers.
The GST Council, during its 56th meeting, slashed tax rates on key dairy products. Effective today, September 22, packaged milk, paneer, butter, ghee, cheese, and other products are now available at lower prices.
Revised Nandini Milk Product Prices:

Ghee (1000 ml pouch): Price cut from Rs 650 to Rs 610
Butter (Unsalted, 500 gm): Price cut from Rs 305 to Rs 286
Paneer (1000 gm): Price cut from Rs 425 to Rs 408
Goodlife Milk (1000 ml): Price cut from Rs 70 to Rs 68
Processed Cheese (1 kg): Price cut from Rs 530 to Rs 497
Cheese Mozzarella Diced (1 kg): Price cut from Rs 480 to Rs 450
Ice Cream Vanilla Tub (1000 ml): Price cut from Rs 200 to Rs 178
Savouries (180 gm): Price cut from Rs 60 to Rs 56
Muffins (150 gm): Price cut from Rs 50 to Rs 45

In a statement, KMF said, “The Government of India has reduced the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on essential food products like Ghee, Paneer, Cheese, Ice creams, Chocolates etc. and the reduction is effective from 22.09.2025. Accordingly, Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has revised the selling prices of ‘Nandini’ milk products.”
Mother Dairy And Amul Also Cut Prices
Mother Dairy has announced that it is passing on the benefits of the recent GST rate cut to consumers by reducing prices of select value-added dairy products and processed food items under its Safal brand.
The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), the maker of Amul products, also said it is cutting retail prices of over 700 product packs — including ghee, butter, ice cream, bakery, and frozen snacks — to pass on the benefit of the GST rate reduction to consumers. The revised prices are coming into effect from September 22, 2025.

Key GST Rate Changes on Dairy Products:
UHT Milk: From 5% earlier to 0% now (tax-free)
Paneer: From 12% earlier to 0% (tax-free)
Butter, Ghee, Cheese, and Other Dairy Fats: From 12% earlier to 5%
Milk Cans (Iron, Steel, Aluminium): From 12% earlier to 5%
Plant-Based Milk Beverages (excluding Soya Milk): From 18% earlier to 5%.
