    In-depth analysis of Sept 1 elections needed

    Dear Editor,

    Three weeks after the General Election, I am still to see an intelligent, cogent analysis of it in this or any other daily Guyanese organ. Who voted? Where did they vote most? Whom did they vote for? Why? How do we explain the WIN phenomenon and the, maybe existential, demise of the PNC and the AFC? Let some sensible commentators away from the ideologues, racists and word-salad generators take on the task. It would be a sign of mature democracy and a mature fourth estate.
