The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Africa Information Technology Consultancy, Prof. Sir Bashiru Aremu, has commended the efforts of the Management of Minaret University, Ikirun, Nigeria, guest lecturers, and participants worldwide at the international conference on Artificial Intelligence in a modern world of Information Communication Technology.
Daily Independent learnt this from Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu in a telephone chat conversation with our reporter today, being Monday, September 15, 2025, as he briefed on the outcome of his recent International conference on Artificial Intelligence usage for ICT development with Management of Minaret University, Ikirun.
UNESCO Laureate who used the medium to commend the management of Minaret University for its support of the International Conference, anchored on the theme: “Artificial Intelligence in the Modern World of Information and Communication Technology.” The event brought together renowned scholars and experts to share insights and knowledge on the role of AI in society.
Speaking briefly on the outcome of the international conference, Professor Aremu stated: “We encourage critical stakeholders in the ICT sector to join this clarion call or advocacy on the need for global use of Artificial Intelligence as modern tools for ICT sector Development. Most importantly, I commend the management of Minaret University Ikirun for their support as the international event ended successfully.
