The ongoing season of Bigg Boss 19 has been one of the most explosive yet, with drama and controversy fuelling every episode. Among the many talking points, the spotlight has now fallen on popular choreographer and influencer Awez Darbar and his long-time partner, fellow influencer Nagma Mirajkar. The couple, who have reportedly been together for close to a decade, are facing allegations of Awez’s alleged “double dating,” after claims surfaced that he had been sending flirty messages to another reality show contestant.
Allegations of Awez’s ‘Double Dating’
The whispers began during a captaincy task inside the house when fellow contestants Amaal Mallik and Baseer Ali suggested that Awez has not been faithful in his relationship. They alleged that Awez had been sliding into multiple women’s DMs, exchanging flirtatious messages, and maintaining relationships outside of his commitment to Nagma. The claims quickly snowballed into one of the season’s biggest controversies, leaving audiences divided.
Natalia Janoszek Shares Her Perspective
To dig deeper, Free Press Journal caught up with former Bigg Boss 19 contestant Natalia Janoszek, who lived inside the house with Awez and Nagma for three weeks before her elimination. Natalia admitted she found the couple “adorable” during her time on the show.
“First of all, Nagma is a sweetheart. I like them both. I can’t judge them because I don’t know them personally; I just got to know them on the show, and they were very cute and sweet together,” Natalia shared.
When asked about the allegations from outside contestants, Natalia urged caution, hinting that not every claim deserves credibility. “You need to remember that people outside claiming things are also claiming things because they want that five minutes of fame, and we’re kind of used to that in entertainment. I heard about Awez and Nagma’s wedding plans, so I don’t think it’s a setup if somebody’s talking about a wedding. Also, I don’t know the reality, so I guess we need to wait and see. If somebody will enter the house from Awez’s past, it might cause a stir. And if that happens, I will feel bad for Nagma as she was played. But I do hope it’s just a rumour.”
Addressing the Mridul Tiwari Angle
Natalia also spoke about the romantic narrative viewers saw building between her and fellow contestant Mridul Tiwari. Clarifying her stance, she said, “Well, the question is if Mridul was genuine, like if he really liked me or if he was also having fun. He’s a YouTuber, he knows how to entertain people, so obviously he knew that a boy from Noida and a foreigner girl just looks fun.”
She added that while their bond began as “fun and jokes,” things shifted when people inside the house suggested she was talking too much with other contestants. “They kind of put in him this doubt that he came with to me, and yeah, it was a bit shocking when he said like, ‘You can’t speak with other boys like you speak with me.’ Obviously, I took it partly as a joke, but it became a bit heavy. Because for me, Mridul is a sweet boy and I like him a lot. But people then didn’t understand my ways.”

With the controversy continuing to brew, it remains to be seen whether Awez Darbar’s past will catch up with him inside the Bigg Boss 19 house, or whether the speculation fizzles out as mere gossip. For now, Natalia Janoszek is standing by her impression of Awez and Nagma as a “sweet couple,” while fans await if the show will throw another twist into the saga.
