The Tigers are off the Division Round after defeating their AL Central rival Cleveland Guardians in three games in the best-of-three AL Wild Card round. Detroit is expected to start right-hander Troy Melton, who went 3-2 with a 2.76 ERA in 16 regular-season appearances (four starts) in Saturday’s Game 1, while the Mariners will start righty George Kirby (10-8, 4.21 ERA).
