Tribute paid to KLE Society founders

The seven teachers who founded KLE Society were remembered on Teachers Day that was celebrated at KLE Academy of Higher Education (KAHER) here recently.

The birth anniversary of educationist and former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was celebrated at KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research Deemed-to-be-University (KLE Deemed University).

The Kannada Balaga of KAHER organized a function to pay tribute to the founders of KLE Society, aptly called Saptarshis, and performed puja.

The former Vice-Chancellor, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, Arun Jamkar was the chief guest.

He emphasised that every faculty member of all colleges in the society have a vital role to play in contributing towards research.

He said that key areas are science, technology, artificial intelligence where research and teaching-learning can be actively encouraged.

Each faulty member has the responsibility of teaching ethics, values and ideas in students and such faculty members should become role models.

He distributed certificates to teachers and students who won prizes.

the Best Teachers Award winners selected from each of the constituent units of KAHER were felicitated.

Principal and professor of Neurology Physiotherapy, KLE Institute of Physiotherapy, Sanjiv Kumar was awarded with Teacher of Teachers.

Vice-Chancellor Nitin M. Gangane, Registrar M.S. Ganachari, Deputy Registrar Tejashri Pradhan, teachers, students and others were present.
