Alaya F is one of the fittest actors, whose social media is loaded with her intensity-packed workouts, jaw-dropping yoga asanas, and wellness tips. The 27-year-old has started phase two of her unique health mantra that she swears by – ’75 hard’. According to Alaya, it is “basically a mental toughness programme with rules that sound simple but are absolutely brutal,” she told her followers on Instagram. Alaya says she did a 75-day hard at the start of the year but is beginning another one, which will culminate in November this year. What is 75 Hard? Alaya says 75 Hard comes with a few important rules, like: Two workouts a day – a minimum of 45 minutes each, with one being indoor and the other outdoor. At least drink 3.8 litres of water daily. Read ten pages of any non-fiction book. A daily progress photo No alcohol No cheat meals 15 minutes of mindfulness “Here’s a catch, though – if you miss even one thing one day, you reset all the way back to day one,” she added as a warning. “Now I must be insane because I have decided to do the 75 Hard all over again,” Alaya added. How does the 75 Hard benefit you? According to Alaya, who successfully completed phase one, incorporating meditation into the routine helps a lot. It not only adds to the commitment but also inspires you to complete all the tasks. Working out for 45 minutes a day – both indoors and outdoors – is extremely effective to improve your physical and mental health, as it lowers the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease and type 2 diabetes and boosts your mood and energy levels. Workouts also aid in weight management and strengthen your bones and muscles. Experts say a 45-minute session helps regulate cognitive function and lower the feelings of stress and depression. Drinking at least 3.8 to 4 litres of water daily promotes optimal bodily functions, which include physical and cognitive performance, easier digestion, and better joint lubrication. Doctors say hydrating your body supports its detoxification process by flushing out waste through urine, perspiration, and bowel movements. However, drinking this amount may be excessive for some individuals, and experts say it is crucial to adjust intake based on personal needs, lifestyle, and climate to avoid intoxication – a serious condition caused by diluted sodium levels in the blood. Also, reading a book daily provides significant health benefits, which include less stress, improved memory and focus, enhanced cognitive skills, and a boost in creativity and empathy. Experts believe it also keeps your brain sharp, potentially contributing to longevity, better sleep, and a richer understanding of the world.
