Students of Medha School to be transferred to nearby schools

Following seizure of Medha School, Bowenpally, after enforcement agencies detected alprazolam manufacturing unit on its premises, the School Education Department on Monday said that the students will be transferred to nearby schools in accordance with parents’ preferences.

Mandal Educational Officer Harichandan, who along with senior officials inspected the school premises, said the school has a strength of 63 students for classes 1 to 7. He said the department will take all necessary measures to ensure the academic year of the children is not disrupted.

Mr. Harichandan informed that there are about five schools in the vicinity including the Mandal Parishad Primary School and all students will be suitably admitted after interacting with their parents.

While the principal and the teachers were not present at the school on Monday, parents worried about their children and remained clueless about the next procedures. Some expressed doubts about the already paid school fees, expenditure in a new school, preparation for tests and stress in children.
