    Celebrating K-Drama Day With Free Dramas And Maybe Some K-Drama Swag

    K-drama fans will have a chance to watch some entertaining k-dramas for free during Viki’s third celebration of K-Drama Day (Sept. 26). For a few days thereafter avid k-drama fans—as well as those curious about k-dramas—can see titles such as Reborn Rich, which stars Song Joong-ki, Lovely Runner, which stars Byeon Woo-seeok and Kim Hye-yoon, and My Dearest Nemesis, starring Mun Ka-young and Choi Hyun-wook.

    Between Sept. 26 and 30 viewers won’t need a paid subscription to watch ten iconic k-drama series in Viki’s Watch More. Feel More. collection, which also includes the dramas Love Scout, Study Group, Bitch x Rich 2, Spring of Youth, The Witch, Pump Up The Healthy Love, and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.

    There’s more to the celebration. In partnership with Korean entertainment company CJ ENM, Viki also offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at the drama production process through a video interview with Lee Soo-hyun, director of My Dearest Nemesis, and a Reddit Ask Me Anything session on the popular r/KDRAMA subreddit with Park Seung Woo, director of Law and The City.

    On Sept. 26, media company DIVE Studios also dedicates an episode of its Get Real podcast—hosted by k-pop stars Ashley Choi, Peniel of BTOB, Junny and with special guest Eric Nam—to discussing k-dramas and the global reach of Korean entertainment.

    Fans can also see a video interview with members of k-pop girl group H1-KEY as they share their favorite k-dramas from Viki’s celebratory themed collections. Some lucky fans may get the opportunity to virtually meet actor Heo Nam-joon, who appears in Your Honor, The Matchmakers, Snowdrop, and the upcoming drama A Hundred Memories.

    Prizes and promotions are another part of the celebration. Fans have a chance to win tickets to see pop sensation and k-pop collaborator Dua Lipa at her San Francisco concert, as well as signed k-drama talent polaroid photos, boba keychains, and one-year vouchers of Viki Pass Plus.

    In addition, K-Drama Day will deliver a chance to win gift cards for hotels plus Pepero snacks, Everlane fashions, a year of cakes from the Korean bakery chain Tous les Jours, and Webtoon coins so fans can check out the webtoons that inspire their favorite dramas. Rakuten Viki has an extensive library of dramas, variety shows, movies, award shows, and Viki Originals. The streaming platform is available to watch for free (with advertisements) or without advertisements through tiered subscriptions.
