BBC viewers were divided over Rob Rinder and Rylan Clark ‘s fresh travel programme, with certain fans voicing their concerns just moments into the show. During the opening sequence, the duo lands in Delhi and attempts to navigate the bustling metropolis, but finds themselves trapped in heavy traffic. Rob disclosed that he had travelled to India on multiple occasions; nevertheless, this marked Rylan’s maiden voyage to the country, having never previously ventured to Asia except for the Maldives. Viewers rapidly flocked to social media to respond to Rylan, who grumbled repeatedly about the congestion, reports the Express . One viewer commented: “So @Rylan and @JudgeRinderT on @ BBC #PassageToIndia. Why the heck did Rylan sign up for this, all he is doing in the 5 minutes that I could sit through it was moan about the roads the traffic, the flying insects, the rickshaw. Goodness me!” Another said: “Rylan is typical of many Brits who have only ever been on a package holiday in the med.” There were fans who appreciated the programme and found it entertaining, with one viewer stating: “Enjoying Rob & Rylan Passage to India.” Another added: “Just watched the first episode of #RobRinder & #RylanClark #PassagetoIndia It’s literally out of this world. The duo then explored the hectic street bazaar of Chandni Chowk, where EM Forster commenced his expedition, the 16th-century architectural marvel Humayun’s Tomb, and the Lodhi Colony, where structures are adorned with enormous murals. The pair also encountered billionaire art enthusiast Shalini Passi, alongside campaigner and musician Naveen Koomar, who invited Rob and Rylan to deliver their own self-penned rap performance. Rob and Rylan’s Passage to India airs on Sunday on BBC Two at 9pm.
