NBA Star Anthony Edwards Accuses Ex of Using Daughter to Make 'Revenue' (Excl)

NBA star Anthony Edwards accused his ex Ayesha Howard of using their daughter Aubri’ Summers Howard as a “revenue-generating asset” and using her to make money via social media content, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
On Tuesday, September 30, Edwards filed court docs claiming he hopes to wrap up this court battle as soon as possible. The exes have been in and out of court ever since Aubri’’s birth in October 2024.
Edwards, 24, filed a paternity case in Georgia and Howard filed her own in California. The L.A. judge awarded Howard sole legal and physical custody.
Following the decision, the parties have been arguing about the custody paperwork. Howard claimed Edwards’ team tried to add a non-disparagement clause, while Edwards claimed Howard demanded $500k and a public apology during negotiations.
In a new filing, the Minnesota Timberwolves star’s lawyer claimed, “Ayesha has explicitly transformed these proceedings into public entertainment. On September 28, 2025, she posted on social media declaring this case ‘very much open to the public to look into,’ inviting hundreds of thousands of strangers to examine private family court matters.”
Edwards’ lawyer continued, “Every court filing becomes a post, every hearing becomes content, and every delay allows continued exploitation of this infant child who cannot consent to becoming a digital commodity.”
He added, “The evidence before the Court establishes that Ayesha treats the minor child as a revenue-generating asset.”
The NBA star’s legal team claimed Howard “has publicly admitted to forcing her distressed child to continue performing for social media content, stating, ‘my baby is over content for the day, but momma gotta get back to work.’”
Edwards’ legal team added, “She coordinates the child’s appearances with sponsored product placements, monetizing every moment of this infant’s existence. The ongoing custody case provides the dramatic narrative that drives engagement metrics and sponsorship dollars.”
Edwards’ team claimed Howard’s strategy “serves her social media narrative.”
“Each court filing generates posts about her ‘fight’ for her child. Each denial becomes evidence of ‘injustice’ to share with followers. Each court appearance provides content for stories and updates,” Edwards’ attorney said. “She has discovered that perpetual conflict is more profitable than resolution, and this innocent child pays the price through ongoing instability and public exposure.”
The attorney said, “Every day this case remains pending enables further exploitation and harm. Ayesha continues posting the child on social media, discussing these proceedings publicly, and inviting stranger scrutiny of private family matters.”
As Us first reported, Howard denied that her financial demand was part of the custody paperwork.
Howard told Us, “I want to make it clear that my request for compensation was never tied to agreeing to any custody orders. I asked for compensation due to the substantial financial and reputational damages I’ve endured during this prolonged litigation with Anthony Edwards.”
Howard has a son with rapper Lil Baby. As Us first reported, Edwards is in the middle of a separate paternity battle with another ex named Alexandria Desroches. Desroches claims Edwards is the father to her child, born in October 2023.
