The Namibia University of Science and Technology (Nust) will honour businessman Benhard ‘Ben’ Zaaruka with an honorary doctor of philosophy in entrepreneurship during its graduation ceremony in Windhoek on 10 October.
Zaaruka is an entrepreneur and philanthropist known for creating jobs, advancing infrastructure and reshaping communities through construction and real estate.
He owns Stantoll Properties, which operates Oshana Mall and Benz Building Supplies in northern Namibia. He is also involved in cultural matters, serving as the patron of the Ovaherero Red Flag Association
“The conferment of this honorary doctorate reaffirms the university’s position as a catalyst for national development – honouring leaders whose vision and achievements mirror Nust’s mission to drive innovation, foster inclusive growth, and shape Namibia’s future through knowledge and enterprise,” Nust’s statement reads.
