She’s a rising sports betting analyst at ESPN, and he’s a star third baseman with the Phillies — and “somehow it just works.”
Erin Dolan — who negotiated a multiyear contract renewal with the Worldwide Leader in September — opened up about her and Alec Bohm’s relationship in a wide-ranging interview with The Post after keeping things fairly private for some time.
“I think the biggest thing is, it’s nice having somebody in the same space as you that understands you [and] gets it,” Dolan, 29, said of both of their careers being in the public eye. “He has a crazy schedule. I have a crazy schedule… I know that things are going to be different in terms of, he’ll have an off day on a Monday or a Thursday, and I’ll have an off day on a Wednesday. It’s just all over the place, but somehow it just works.
“When he’s in his busy season, I’m not — and when I’m in my busy season, he’s not. So, it’s just a balancing act. But he’s the best. It’s awesome to have somebody who’s in your corner, and again, gets the criticism and the daily pressure that you’re under. Because not many people can relate to that.”
Dolan and Bohm, who had been rumored to be a couple since early last year, went public with their relationship in February, when they attended Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans, as seen in photos on her Instagram.
The Delaware County native, who’s a diehard Eagles fan, was at the Super Bowl working for ESPN, and she took Bohm, 29, with her to the big game — a 40-22 Eagles win over the Chiefs.
Dolan is looking forward to supporting the 2024 All-Star and the Phillies in this year’s MLB playoffs — as the NLDS between the Phillies and the defending World Series champion Dodgers begins Saturday at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
“It’ll be fun going [to games] around October. I am a Phillies fan, so being there to support him is gonna be really cool,” she said. “Seeing the playoffs for the first time — I’ve never experienced going to every game and traveling around with him, which, I mean, I’ll try to do my best. I have to work too.
“It’s just really cool to watch somebody do what they do. And I’m sure it’s vice versa, when he sees me on TV.
Outside of work, Dolan and Bohm’s ideal date night is one that includes sitting on the couch in their sweatpants — in whichever city they happen to be in.
“At the end of the day, we’re very much human and we don’t do anything very special,” she said, joking that Bohm has better hair. “All of our energy is at work. We very much veg at home. We’re people that don’t really leave the house.”
Dolan enjoys sharing behind-the-scenes work and some of her personal life on social media, especially TikTok, where she talks about her fandom for Philadelphia sports.
Nevertheless, since Bohm doesn’t have social media, Dolan is mindful of what she posts online
“It’s more so I’m just doing it for him because he doesn’t have social media, the guy doesn’t do anything,” Dolan said. “He’s great.”
