‘People Will Lose Their Minds’: Channing Tatum Builds Hype For Avengers Doomsday

Marvel fans, brace yourselves, as Channing Tatum has just dropped a massive tease about the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. And if his words are anything to go by, the film is going to be just epic. The 45-year-old actor, who recently appeared as the X-Men hero Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine, opened up about the many films at the premiere of his latest film, Roofman.
Talking to Entertainment Tonight, Tatum said, “They [Marvel] set a bar for themselves [with] every movie, and they beat it every single movie.” He added, “And I can tell you this, as I was reading it, I was like, ‘No. What? How are they going to do this? I don’t understand how they’re going to do this.’”
‘You’re Just Not Ready’: Channing Tatum
Tatum’s description of the film was nothing short of thrilling as he warned, “You’re just not ready,” and continued, “I don’t know how to describe it to you. It’s going to make your brains ooze out of your ears.”
According to Tatum, the scale of Avengers: Doomsday is going to make the excitement around Deadpool & Wolverine feel small. The actor also compared the feeling that fans will have watching the movie to the moment when Blade made a surprise cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine. “People are just going to physically lose their actual minds, and it’s that, but maybe times 50 because it’s going to be one of them things,” he said.
Of course, he couldn’t reveal anything specific about the plot, but as a fan himself, Tatum was all excited for the film. He added, “But as a comic fan, you’re just not ready. You just ain’t ready.”
What Could Happen In Avengers: Doomsday
While Marvel has yet to reveal an official storyline, the comics may hold some clues about the film’s plot. Back in 2011, Ultimate Comics: Doomsday was released, where the Fantastic Four teamed up with other heroes to stop a mysterious villain hell bent on destroying their timeline.
The shocking twist? The villain was actually a familiar hero gone bad in the multiverse, which has fueled speculation about Robert Downey Jr’s rumoured return, this time not as Iron Man, but as Doctor Doom.
For now, fans will have to wait until 2026 to see if Tatum’s claims prove to be true. Until then, you can catch the actor in Roofman, set to release in theatres on October 10. On the other hand, Avengers: Doomsday will arrive in theatres on December 18, 2026.
