New K-dramas
1. Shin’s Project – tvN
Release date: Episode 1 on September 15 & Episode 2 on September 16
Shin’s Project is a black comedy K-drama that follows a former veteran negotiator who currently runs a fried chicken restaurant. Harbouring a mysterious secret, he becomes the neighbourhood hero by resolving unwinnable conflicts and disputes between people, thanks to his handy mediator skills. He’s joined by a principled rookie judge and an equipped delivery rider, who help him run his food business and deliver tasteful justice. Shin’s Project stars Han Suk Kyu, Bae Hyun Sung and Lee Re.
2. To the Moon – MBC
Release date: Episode 1 on September 19 & Episode 2 on September 20
Based on the novel of the same name, To the Moon is an office comedy K-drama depicting the realistic survival tales of three Maron Confectionery employees, who invest into cryptocurrency due to their insufficient salaries. While the practical trio is in pursuit of abundant wealth, their Director is chasing his dreams instead. Expectedly, chaos ensues. To the Moon stars Lee Sun Bin, Ra Mi Ran, Jo Aram and Kim Young Dae.
3. Walking on Thin Ice – Viki
Release date: Episode 1 on September 20 & Episode 2 on September 21
Walking on Thin Ice is a crime thriller series centred on the dangerous partnership between a financially desperate mother pushed to the brink and an art teacher, who leads a double life as a drug dealer. After the former unexpectedly stumbles upon a drug-filled bag, she forms a deadly alliance with the latter to protect her family. Walking on Thin Ice stars Lee Young Ae and Kim Young Kwang.

My Troublesome Star is a rom-com K-drama revolving around a famous actress who gets into an accident and mysteriously wakes up as an ordinary middle-aged woman. Tempest is a spy romance revolving around the joint investigation of a presidential candidate’s assassination attempt by a renowned UN ambassador and a mysterious special agent. The dynamic duo have to uncover the truth that could threaten the stability of the Korean Peninsula while indulging in a risky romance. 6. My Youth – Viki

My Youth is a romance drama that tells the rekindled love tale of a troubled child star-turned-florist and an ambitious manager. The former’s peace is disrupted by the reckless return of the latter, his first love. On the other hand, the orchestrated reunion is tied to the latter’s greed for success. However, she’s forced to confront emotions she had long forgotten because of her first love. In the process, the former flames trudge past old wounds and fine-tune their unfinished romance. My Youth stars Song Joong Ki, Chun Woo Hee, Lee Joo Myung and Seo Ji Hoon.
7. Queen Mantis – Netflix

Queen Mantis is a crime thriller drama revolving around the ‘The Mantis’, an infamous serial killer, who brutally murdered five men 20 years ago. Serving prison time, she reluctantly reunites with her estranged son to jointly solve the mystery behind a copycat serial killer on the loose. A K-drama remake of the critically acclaimed 2017 French series, La Mante, Queen Mantis stars Go Hyun Jung, Jang Dong Yoon, Jo Sung Ha, Lee El, Kim Bo Ra and Kim Tae Jung.
8. Bon Appétit, Your Majesty – Netflix
Release date: Episode 9 on September 20 & Episode 10 on September 21
Based on Park Kuk Jae’s popular 2022 web novel, Yeonsankunui Chefro Salanamki, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty stars Girls’ Generation’s YoonA, Lee Chae Min, Kang Han Na and Choi Gwi Hwa. The fantasy rom-com saguek (historical drama) depicts the time-altering love story between an award-winning French chef from the 21st century, who mysteriously time travels to the past, and the tyrant King of Joseon, who happens to be the best gourmet. Held hostage in the royal palace with her life on the line, the chef has to rely on her culinary prowess not just to save herself but maybe even rewrite history. She serves the despotic monarch fusion palace cuisine, instantly unravelling both his taste buds and heart.
9. Confidence Queen – Amazon Prime Video
Release date: Episode 5 on September 20 & Episode 6 on September 21
A K-drama remake of the hilarious 2018 Japanese drama, The Confidence Man JP, Confidence Queen stars Park Min Young, Park Hee Soon and Joo Jong Hyuk. The crime comedy series follows three con artists who orchestrate elaborate scams and swindle villains from all walks of life. The con trio includes the eccentric leader with an IQ of 165, a witty scamming veteran and the innocent yet playful youngest member.
10. A Hundred Memories – Viki
Release date: Episode 3 on September 20 & Episode 4 on September 21
A Hundred Memories is a youth romance melodrama set in the 1980s, depicting the coming-of-age story of two young bus hostesses. Their friendship is put to the test when they get romantically entangled with their common first love, a chaebol heir. A Hundred Memories stars Kim Da Mi, Shin Ye Eun and Heo Nam Jun.
11. Our Golden Days – Viki
Release date: Episode 13 on September 20 & Episode 14 on September 21
Our Golden Days is a family romance K-drama starring Jung Il Woo, Jung In Sun, Chun Ho Jin and Lee Tae Ran. We follow the dysfunctional Lee family, who showcase how every generation has its own golden era. The characters discover the real meaning of family when they start to understand and share each other’s pain. There’s also a quirky love triangle between an unemployed workaholic, his close chaebol friend and a cafe manager cum interior designer.
