The awards evening, a sell-out event with 325 guests in attendance, will take place on November 29 at The Holiday Inn, Peterborough West, where winners will be revealed. This year’s awards saw an incredible 742 nominations across 45 equestrian photographers, highlighting the outstanding level of talent in the industry.
Founded by passionate equestrian and photographer Fiona Moore, the business has built a reputation for capturing the unique bond between horse and rider through timeless, emotive imagery. Fiona’s approach goes beyond photography; she combines her lifelong love of horses with a deep understanding of her clients’ stories, ensuring every image reflects both beauty and authenticity. High-quality images bring these stories to life, connecting the community and leaving a lasting impact on horse enthusiasts everywhere.
Katy Wright, founder of The Equestrian Business Awards, said: “This year we’ve seen a phenomenal number of nominations yet again and the standard across all categories has been truly inspiring. Being named a finalist is a huge achievement in itself and a testament to the hard work, passion, and excellence shown by businesses like Fiona Moore Photography. The equestrian industry is full of creativity and dedication, and it’s an honour to celebrate that.”
This is the fifth year of The Equestrian Business Awards, which was set up to celebrate the achievements of small equestrian businesses and professionals across the UK and highlight the unsung heroes of the equestrian industry who are often overlooked or taken for granted. The awards have quickly gained momentum, with more than 16,000 nominations received across thousands of businesses during the nomination phase at the beginning of the year. There are a variety of different award categories ranging from Riding School of the Year to Equestrian Tech of the Year and everything in between. Only four finalists per category were shortlisted.
Fiona Moore said: “I’m absolutely thrilled and deeply honoured to have been nominated by my wonderful clients and selected as a finalist by the judging panel. What makes this even more meaningful is that finalists are chosen based on the quality of the nominations, not just the number, which makes being nominated incredibly personal and special.
“I genuinely love what I do, and pour my heart and soul into every part of my work. Being named Runner-Up for ‘Equine Image of the Year’ by The Guild of Photographers earlier this year was a huge highlight, and this nomination from the Equestrian Business Awards truly feels like the cherry on top.
“I’m so looking forward to celebrating alongside other inspiring equestrian businesses at the awards ceremony, it’s a real honour to be considered among such an outstanding group of finalists.”
The Equestrian Business Awards was founded by Katy Wright in 2021. The aim was to raise the profile of small equestrian businesses, charities and professionals throughout the UK, “Celebrating Equestrian Excellence” and provide a platform for horse owners and riders to show appreciation for those that help them. The awards have quickly gained momentum with Clare Balding presenting an award in 2022, paralympian Natasha Baker OBE joining the 2023 judging team and attracting large equestrian sponsors including global brands such as WD40 and Westgate Labs as well as up -and-coming brands such as Equicantis, Equine K Taping UK and AGM Planning Consultants allowing them to champion small businesses.
