Shark just upgraded its sellout TurboBlade fan for year-round heating — meet the Cool + Heat

Earlier this year, Shark dropped one of the most popular fans of the summer, the TurboBlade. And its innovative design has excelled at keeping homes cool with its ultra-quiet bladeless tower and oscillating multi-directional cooling powers.

The brand is seriously clued up in the cooling market, impressing with its FlexBreeze family, including another sell-out fan of the summer, the FlexBreeze HydroGo.
But, as we head into those colder months, Shark is prepared for change. Adapting and shifting to match the climate, Shark is telling us, you don’t need to put away your fan when it can work for you all-year long.

Dyson’s cooling fan slashed by $100 at Amazon right now — here’s the rival you should buy instead

Introducing the Shark TurboBlade Cool + Heat, a groundbreaking 2-in-1 fan and heater that will not only keep you cool, but will warm you up, too.

Shark is calling it “the most powerful bladeless tower fan with intelligent heating on the market.” And it’s available globally right now for $399.99.

Shark TurboBlade Cool + Heat: $399.99 at Sharkclean
The Shark TurboBlade Cool + Heat is a 2-in-1 fan and heater that pivots, twists and oscillates in any mode to provide year-round comfort. This all-season solution will provide both heat and cooling technology through its bladeless design and intelligent modes, reaching up to 1500W of heat and ten different fan speeds.

How it works

It’s a very impressive move from Shark to give users a reason to utilize the TurboBlade all-year long.
And it’s done so by bringing everything users have come to know and love about the TurboBlade, from its sleek and premium design to the intelligent built-in tech, into a 2-in-1 fan and innovative space heater.

Heating up your room in minutes, it’s an all-season solution that also looks great with a neutral, slimline design. And for the first time, I feel like I’m able to have a space heater in my home that fits in with the aesthetic.
Even the best space heaters, historically, can be fairly standout units that usually don’t offer too much oscillation, if any at all.
The TurboBlade Cool + Heat challenges the market. Instead, it’s a slimline, aesthetically-pleasing solution that pivots, twists and oscillates to provide you with 360-degree heating and cooling coverage throughout your room.
And much like the original TurboBlade fan, it offers 10 different speeds. But, this time, there’s also heat modes to match your preference – 900W, 1300W, and 1500W.
Plus, there’s a Thermo IQ mode that will set and maintain your temperature automatically, alongside the NeverTip Safety ensuring the solid base will keep it upright and auto-shutoff, when needed.
Let’s not forget in all this that it’s also a cooling fan, ready to go when the nights warm up again, featuring all the superb features of the TurboBlade with up to 80 feet of fan range, Sleep Mode and 360-degree oscillation.
First impressions

When I first saw the Shark TurboBlade Cool + Heat, I was immediately impressed that its essentially the TurboBlade, but better.
It looks just like the original model, yet integrates a second incredibly helpful purpose, to keep you warm instead of just cool. The brand has listened to what people need, paid attention to the existing market, and crafted its own solution.
Of course, this innovation comes with a price that is far more expensive than other space heaters on the market. Our favorite value space heater, the Vornado VH200 Heater, is just under $70. And even our top pick, the Lasko FH500, is around $150, depending where you buy.
But, they also don’t double up as fans. The only direct competitor, which you probably won’t be surprised to hear given the Airwrap i.d. and FlexStyle rivalry, is Dyson.
And while Dyson has the Purifier Hot + Cool HP07, it’ll also cost you around $600-$700. Compared to the TurboBlade’s $399.99, that price all of a sudden doesn’t seem too bad.
When you consider that the Cool + Heat is a fan and space heater in one (and doesn’t look traditionally like either), it could be considered a seriously excellent price for what you get.
We’ll be getting our hands on it soon for testing, though, and we’ll be sure to weigh it up against its competitors, as well as see if it truly does deliver.
